Salary estimates are based on Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) data, adjusted for local cost of living. Cost-of-living indices are derived from publicly available sources. All figures are estimates intended for general planning — they are not a substitute for employer-specific research.
How often is the data updated?
We aim to update salary data annually when the BLS releases new OEWS figures, typically each spring. Cost-of-living data is refreshed on a similar schedule.
Can I request that a city or profession be added?
Yes — email us with your suggestion and we'll consider it for the next update. Cities and professions with the highest relocation search volume are prioritized.
